Our University Successfully Holds the Online Signing Ceremony with Istituto Marangoni, Italy
On 16 December 2021, our university held the online exchange and cooperation meeting with Istituto Marangoni, Italy at Yansongtang Buqing Hall and successfully signed the MOU and established partnership with them. Among the representatives attending the meeting were Shun Wang, Vice President of Wenzhou University, Wenhao Huang, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Zijing Xie, Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Design, Ting Zheng, Deputy Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Wenchao Hu, Vice Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Design, Stefania Valenti, President of Istituto Marangoni, COO of Marangoni China, Yingting Cheng, President of Marangoni Shanghai Campus, Roberto La Iacona, Chief Admission Officer for Marangoni in Asia Pacific Region, and Xiang Zhang, Director of China-Italy Art Center. This meeting was hosted by Wenhao Huang, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department of the university.
Vice President Shun Wang started by introducing the history, culture, and social development of Wenzhou City. He specifically introduced the shoe and fashion industry in Wenzhou and continued to introduce the history of Wenzhou University and the construction and training of Fashion Design Major of the university. He mentioned that Istituto Marangoni is a world-renowned university in design industry and Wenzhou University specializes in shoe and fashion design and he hoped that both colleges can strengthen exchange and cooperation in personnel training and staff exchange to benefit local design industries of both parties.
Stefania Valenti, President of Istituto Marangoni introduced the program construction, teaching methods and education philosophy. She mentioned that Istituto Marangoni enjoys high reputation in fashion design industry in Italy and the whole world and has established extensive cooperation with a large number of famous brands across the globe. She looks forward to the future cooperation and exchange in innovative product design and students exchange with Wenzhou University.
Later Vice President Shun Wang and President Stefania Valenti signed the MOU online.
