The Student Information Consultation and Career Guidance Center for Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education announced the list of Model Student of Entrepreneurship. Li Xiaogang, a Class 2019 postgraduate student graduating from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was included. Only five university students in Zhejiang Province won this honor.

Wenzhou University has always attached great importance to the innovation and entrepreneurship of students, and actively built a supporting system for young scientific and technological talents. Through innovative talent training models, the entrepreneurship curriculum system and the "1+X+Y" entrepreneurship practice mechanism, a group of students have been encouraged to start their business. Li Xiaogang started his business while studying in the university and is now the general manager of Lyncwell Innovation Intelligent System (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. The company focuses on aerospace, automobile manufacturing, 3C and other fields. It has applied for 1 international patent, 22 Chinese patents, 3 software copyrights, and three core technologies independently developed. It has taken the initiative in applying ultra-fast lasers to the field of hard and brittle materials processing. Since its establishment for more than a year, it has achieved an operating income of 21.8 million yuan. The project has received strong support from Wenzhou Municipal Government and was listed as a key technology research project of Wenzhou in 2019. With this project, Li Xiaogang won the Silver Award in the “Internet +” University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
